I have to share about my Cody playing bass guitar for a band that lead a big youth event last night. I couldn’t let Queenie be the only one bragging on her kids musical talents. Even though they are “AWESOME” kids. You can check her kids out at queenieslittlekingdom. For now I want to be the proud mom that brags on her kid.

The event was called “CityWide”. There were 600-700 people there. West Jackson Baptist church hosted it. They had several blow-up slides, baseball throw, etc. Outcast put on a BMX show that was awesome…one of the guys that did BMX tricks was 45 years old. I can bearly ride a bike at 40 and he could turn flips and do awesome tricks with his bike….unbelievable. The church served hotdogs and drinks for everyone. Then the band comes on stage and leads the group in worship before the speaker comes out to share the gospel. My son Cody was the one playing the bass guitar. He did an “AWESOME” job. It was a big night for him. It was his first big event. He has played in 2 different churches praise band, and he played for his high school praise band, and now he plays for the youth on Wednesday nights at Engelwood Baptist Church, but nothing has been this big. It was outside and the music was heard for up to 3 miles away. He was so excited to be able to play.

The speaker was “Ed” from Student Life Ministries. He did a great job presenting the gospel. He mainly shared his salvation experience in a powerful way. 12 youth gave their lives to Christ at the invitation. It was so exciting seeing people respond to Christ. It was a huge success.
